Inline editing of quoted email

Currently, when replying to an email it impossible to edit the quoted part that you are replying to. Highlighting part of the text and attempting to delete it actually deletes the original email and closes the reply. It also makes it difficult to bottom-post the reply or to remove unwanted parts of the original email in line with proper netiquette.
