Install Mailbird on an external drive (not C:)
This is a privacy-issue concern. The way Mailbird works now, if my computer breaks down and I need to bring it in to fix, all my Mailbird personal emails are at risk of being read, because as of now, I can only install Mailbird in C: I would love/need the option of installing it safely on my external drive that is detachable. That way, the privacy of my email is safe because not stored on the physical hard drive of the computer. Right now, if Mailbird is installed on a drive other than C:, none of the periodic updates work. There is an error message when trying to update Mailbird, because the update path does not recognize that the program is not installed in C: , and does not allow the user to change the drive path for the update.
