Whatsapp notifications

It would nice to get notification of receipt of a whatsapp message.
e.g. the whatsapp web page gives you a optional notifications in the tab, and sounds.
some sort of notification, such as a green circle with a count of unread notifications where the unread mail count lives on the icon on taskbar, which appears temporarily (for 2-5 seconds) when a new message is received would be lovely.
